Shopping

Downtown Wellington is divided into 4 quarters, Lambton Quarter, Willis Quarter, Cuba Quarter and Courtenay Quarter, which are all within walking distance of each other. You can start your shopping excursion from the Lambton Quarter, where you'll find Kirkcaldie and Stains, a grand old department store. In the Lambton and Willis Quarters you can find local and international fashion stores, as well as arts, crafts and souvenir stores. Continue through the Cuba Quarter and you'll find funky boutiques, design stores and markets. At the end is the Courtenay Quarter, where you can relax at one of the many cafes. Most shops are open 7 days a week and if you need a ride you can hop on the yellow bus which costs just NZ$2 for a central city round-trip.
